Find Your Online Music Magazines At An Online Music Store
by
AndreRenaud
The music articles and blogs on the internet don\’t usually provide you with the knowledge that a music magazine at an offline store can give you. The quality of journalism is often far less online than what we can find while browsing through the professional writings found in publications that hire qualified pros to create them. Are you tired of going out of your way to find the latest musical information offline and fed up of searching for something online that doesn\’t seem pathetic to you?
The same publications that you used to go out of your way for are now online music magazines that can be located at an online music store through a simple search. This will result in more quality reading than you will have time for. Choosing amongst your favourite publications will seem effortless to you while you are wondering why you went out of your way for this information in the first place. Popular and important publications have recently become available to those who surf the internet because they want to make their information easily accessible to their readers and they do not want to be overlooked by those who prefer to have their information come to the location of their choice, instead of travelling to the location of the publisher\’s choice.
There are several types of music magazines available. Information regarding a few of them is written below.
1. Music News – This type of publication consists of the latest information involved that recently has, is, or is about to happen within the music industry. Tours, album releases, music reviews, concert information, musical films, collaborations, videos and much more information is often provided. Examples of magazines that provide this kind of information include Rolling Stone, Kerrang, and Billboard.
2. Music Education – These magazines include information that benefit people who wish to become better musicians and often consist of education from seasoned pros. Knowledge about how to play an instrument, understanding the language of music, tutorials, sheet music, maintaining the care of instruments and equipment, music industry info., music industry contacts, and advice regarding the do\’s and don\’ts of having a career as a musician are some of the topics covered in this area. Some examples of these publications are Guitar World, Keyboard Player, and Modern Drummer.
3. Music Genre Magazines – These magazines deal with certain types of music and the specifics of the genre. Many faithful followers of trends and current fashions appreciate these publications while others who have been faithful to specific styles of music for many years can find information that keeps them up to date regarding what is happening in the field that they love the most. Many who read these mags feel as if they are part of an exclusive club that brings them together with others who have a common interest – a favourite genre of music. Classic Rock, Blues Revue, and Country Weekly are examples of these magazines.
Regardless of what you prefer to read when it comes to music, now you can stay home and have your favourite
online music magazines
come to you. Search for them at an

and don\’t leave your home for them ever again!

Tomorrow, voters in the Australian electoral district of Groom are scheduled to go to the polls in a by-election following the resignation of Liberal National MP John McVeigh for family reasons. Groom is located in the state of Queensland, and is centred around the city of Toowoomba. At the last federal election, the Liberal National Party, Queensland’s dominant conservative party, won this seat by over 70% of the two-party-preferred vote, and since the seat’s creation in 1984, it has been held by conservative political parties.
Some political analysts considered this a foregone conclusion, with analyst Kevin Bonham having declared it on his blog as “Australia’s most boring by-election”, however Bonham noted the size of the swing may have been indicative of the dominant centre left Labor Party’s general performance in Queensland. There was a 4.2% swing against the Labor Party in the state of Queensland at the previous federal election.
Wikinews spoke to one of the four candidates running in the by-election, Craig Farquharson, who is running for the Liberal Democrats. Liberal Democrats describes itself as standing for “individual liberty, free markets and small government”. The party has two elected officials, who sit in the Victorian Legislative Council. Farquharson is a former military contractor and owns the King Vapealot vape store in Toowoomba.

Winter Haven, Florida police chief Paul Goward was tired of seeing fat hanging out over the belts of some of his officers. So he posted a memo to encourage the so-called ‘jelly bellies’ to get in shape.
The memo, entitled ‘Are You A Jelly Belly?’ didn’t single anyone out, and, apart from the title, didn’t call anyone names.
Goward, a former deputy police chief in Wichita, wrote “If you are unfit, do yourself and everyone else a favor. See a professional about a proper diet and a fitness training program, quit smoking, limit alcohol intake…Don’t mean to offend, this is just straight talk. I owe it to you.”
It provided a list of 10 reasons cops should get fit. Goward said that overweight cops poorly represent the profession, are liable to ‘poop out’ when chasing suspects, and may have to use a higher degree of force.
In the end, Goward resigned from his position as police chief.

Bat for Lashes is the doppelgänger band ego of one of the leading millennial lights in British music, Natasha Khan. Caroline Weeks, Abi Fry and Lizzy Carey comprise the aurora borealis that backs this haunting, shimmering zither and glockenspiel peacock, and the only complaint coming from the audience at the Bowery Ballroom last Tuesday was that they could not camp out all night underneath these celestial bodies.
We live in the age of the lazy tendency to categorize the work of one artist against another, and Khan has had endless exultations as the next Björk and Kate Bush; Sixousie Sioux, Stevie Nicks, Sinead O’Connor, the list goes on until it is almost meaningless as comparison does little justice to the sound and vision of the band. “I think Bat For Lashes are beyond a trend or fashion band,” said Jefferson Hack, publisher of Dazed & Confused magazine. “[Khan] has an ancient power…she is in part shamanic.” She describes her aesthetic as “powerful women with a cosmic edge” as seen in Jane Birkin, Nico and Cleopatra. And these women are being heard. “I love the harpsichord and the sexual ghost voices and bowed saws,” said Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke of the track Horse and I. “This song seems to come from the world of Grimm’s fairytales.”
Bat’s debut album, Fur And Gold, was nominated for the 2007 Mercury Prize, and they were seen as the dark horse favorite until it was announced Klaxons had won. Even Ladbrokes, the largest gambling company in the United Kingdom, had put their money on Bat for Lashes. “It was a surprise that Klaxons won,” said Khan, “but I think everyone up for the award is brilliant and would have deserved to win.”
Natasha recently spoke with David Shankbone about art, transvestism and drug use in the music business.
DS: Do you have any favorite books?
DS: Lynch just came out with a movie last year called Inland Empire. I interviewed John Vanderslice last night at the Bowery Ballroom and he raved about it!
DS: Do you notice a difference between playing in front of British and American audiences?
DS: How many instruments do you play and, please, include the glockenspiel in that number.
DS: –I have a great photo of you playing the bass.
DS: You look cool with it!
DS: Do you design your own clothes?
DS: —that’s Will Lemon from Moon and Moon, right? There is such good buzz about them here in New York.
DS: You are often compared to Björk and Kate Bush; do those constant comparisons tend to bother you as an artist who is trying to define herself on her own terms?
DS: —as are you—
DS: I’d imagine it’s preferable to be considered the next Björk or Kate Bush instead of the next Britney.
DS: Does music feed your artwork, or does you artwork feed your music more? Or is the relationship completely symbiotic?
DS: When you are composing music, do you see notes and words as colors and images in your mind, and then you put those down on paper?
DS: Is it always pine trees that you see?
DS: What things in nature inspire you?
DS: Are there man-made things that inspire you?
DS: I photographed some of the famous drag queens here in New York. They are just such great creatures to photograph; they will do just about anything for the camera. I photographed a famous drag queen named Miss Understood who is the emcee at a drag queen restaurant here named Lucky Cheng’s. We were out in front of Lucky Cheng’s taking photographs and a bus was coming down First Avenue, and I said, “Go out and stop that bus!” and she did! It’s an amazing shot.
DS: If you go on her Wikipedia article it’s there.
DS: There are just so few areas left where there is natural edge and art that is not contrived. It’s taking a contrived thing like changing your gender, but in the backdrop of how that is still so socially unacceptable.
DS: How are you received in the Pakistani community?
DS: When you see artists like Pete Doherty or Amy Winehouse out on these suicidal binges of drug use, what do you think as a musician? What do you get from what you see them go through in their personal lives and with their music?
DS: Is it difficult to come to the United States to play considering all the wars we start?

A Proton rocket which was intended to launch the JCSAT-11 satellite into a geostationary transfer orbit lifted off and successfully completed its first stage burn, but the second stage failed leading to loss of the rocket and satellite.
The launch vehicle was a Proton M booster with a Breeze M upper stage. More than 300 Proton rockets have been launched, all from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Following the launch failure, Kazakhstan suspended the launch of Proton rockets from Baikonur, Interfax news agency reported.
JSAT Corporation immediately placed an order with Lockheed Martin, the satellite manufacturer, for an identical replacement satellite based on the A2100AX design.

Is Banner Advertising still effective? YES: But you need traffic to get traffic from banner ads!
A trick is to try banner campaigns in combination with a pop-under campaign. Send cheap traffic to a web page with original content and some banners from two to four free banner exchanges.
Create a page with original content, not a banner farm! Banner exchanges will suspend your account.
On average, banners receive a click trough rate of 0.2% – 0.6%, but some banner ads receive a CTR of up to 3%. Its up to you to create a professional banner with an incredible free offer, so that nobody can resist!
Now lets assume that your banner has a click through rate of 1% (one click for every 100 banner impressions).
You will usually earn one banner impression for your banner for every two visitors you receive. Suppose you join four free banner exchanges. Then order a 50,000 cheap visitors package (traffic pop-under windows) for about $100 and send that traffic to the page you putted the banner code on it.
You should earn about 100,000 free banner impressions from the banner exchanges (25,000 credits from each banner exchange network). With a well-designed banner, expect to achieve a 1% Click Through Rate (CTR) or even more.
Thats one thousand (1,000) targeted visitors, who have already demonstrated an interest in your product (by clicking on your ad).
Targeted banner impressions often cost $10 per 1,000 impressions ($10 CPM). This equates to an advertising value of $1,000.00 and a cost per click (CPC) of only 10 cents!
Not to mention the branding effects: Your logo and web address will appear 150,000 times on other sites (100,000 on your banner and 50,000 on your pop-under window)! Sooner or later, your product or name will become known throughout the Internet.
There are several banner exchanges on the Internet. Visit the page below to find some of the best banner exchange networks and a few banner design services:
